Customer Requirements
Bovis Lend Lease had a target to construct a building to achieve a 5 Star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR), which would be Australia's first 5 Star green office building. Siemens needed to provide a building management temperature system that ensured the humidity of the indoor environment would always be comfortable for the occupants, by controlling the heating, cooling and humidity with optimal energy efficiency.
Solution
We worked closely with Bovis Lend Lease to ensure that we had a thorough understanding of their requirements prior to implementation, given the high expectations of the control system to optimise energy consumption. The building uses chilled beam technology and naturally ventilated / mixed mode spaces to significantly enhance indoor environment quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
