Solution

Siemens, Thiess Consortium and South East Water developed an innovative approach to the challenge, forming an alliance known as 'us' – Utility Services. The alliance combines the skills of the three groups, sharing the workforce, global expertise and technology to operate, maintain and expand South East Water’s infrastructure. 'us' provides services in civil, mechanical, electrical, engineering, operation, maintenance and construction: a complete 24/7 service maintaining and repairing sewer and water networks using advanced methods like trench-less pipe relining technology and air scouring to clean drinking water mains. The alliance provides around-the-clock call handling services for South East Water customers, councils, government institutions and regional water utilities, and monitors the systems using advanced technologies.
