Overview 
Siemens has developed a pressure transmitter especially for the requirements of the food and beverages industry and the pharmaceutical industry. The new Sitrans P300 unit with stainless steel housing and measuring cell flush with the front panel is easy to clean and sterilize. The transmitter is suitable for process temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius, and is available with the full range of hygiene connections. Sitrans P300 provides exact and stable measurements over a long period. For example, the deviation in measured value is less than 0.075 percent with a long-term drift of only 0.25 percent in five years.
Sitrans P300 is operated locally using three keys and a display. Comprehensive diagnostics and simulation functions permit simple startup of measuring circuits and avoid plant downtimes. The pressure transmitter parameters are set using the Simatic PDM software and the integral Hart or Profibus-PA interface.
