Experience the latest water technology innovations from Siemens when they are showcased at this year’s Ozwater Conference from 16 to 18 March at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Siemens most innovative offerings will be on show with product displays, visual presentations and Siemens water technology specialists on hand to share their expertise.
Mr. Rhett Butler, Chairman of the SkyJuice Foundation and a specialist water technologies consultant to Siemens, will present a paper about Siemens Memcor low pressure membranes for chemical free water treatment and their application in the SkyHydrant portable filtration systems now used in disaster relief world-wide.
Mr. Tony Handakas, Siemens Executive Manager, Water Technologies, described the products being showcased.
“Siemens innovative water technologies encompass a comprehensive range of solutions for water re-use and purification that meet the pressing needs of the water and wastewater industries including membrane technologies, biological treatment, clarification, biosolids management, odour control, chemical feed, disinfection and filtration,” said Mr. Handakas.
“The offerings on show at the Ozwater Conference include our CS Submerged Membrane Systems; our most recent development in chemical free filtration of seawater for desalination – the Seacell TM membrane system. Also there will be the VR40 Vertical UV Disinfection System for small and medium-sized community drinking water systems, as well as the Forty-X disc filter for water reuse applications, and the Siemens Sensor Systems for Totally Integrated Automation water treatment solutions that ensure optimal management and sustainable use of water.”
Siemens is a leading supplier of technologies for water and wastewater applications. Through our process technologies and control systems, we have a comprehensive range of technologies that present opportunities for alternative water supply options; removing our dependency from highly erratic rainfall sources that we have relied on in the past. In order to help make the future of Australia and New Zealand a place where water shortage is no longer a concern, we aim to equip industries and utilities with all the technology solutions required to maximise the availability of water in our supply-challenged region.
Australia is the driest continent in the world and despite common perceptions, New Zealand’s water supply is also challenged due to its high reliance on water for hydro-electric power generation. The availability of water for drinking, agriculture and industry is one of the most pressing issues that this region has faced in recent times. Recognising this, Siemens has developed a range of innovative technologies that have presented opportunities for the manufacture of various grades of water depending on its application. From membrane solutions for clean, drinking water, to bioclarification technologies for the treatment of industrial wastewater - we have solutions to ensure the availability of water for future generations.
Come and see us at Stand F5 by the main entrance at the Ozwater Conference to learn more and experience Siemens latest water technology innovations first-hand.
