This conference is the 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and its Faculty of Pain Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine.  It will encompass all aspects of practice in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain management. The meeting will be held from Saturday, 2 May to Wednesday, 6 May at the Cairns Convention Centre.

Topics to be discussed include ultrasound, applied respiratory physiology, neurophysiology, pharmacology, monitoring human factors, perioperative medicine, clinical measurement and research.
